The more I think about it, the more I'm deciding not to do anything with my DW account. I'll probably wind up deleting it. It's much of what you say here. I don't see the point.
If DW were something significantly different than LJ, I'd be more excited. But it seems like it's getting traction mostly from sour grapes users who want LJ but don't want *LJ*, and from people like me (and you, apparently) who don't have a problem with LJ but who don't want to further lose audience.
Before I heard about DW, I was already debating just getting serious about maintaining a blog on my own website. If people want to read what I have to say, they'll track me down. I reckon not a lot of people will do that. :) (My arrogance will probably make me stay here, though.)
So... whatever.... I'm not quite yet ready to commit to not going to DW, but I'm that much closer each day.
