Is this why I'm not here?

I decided to make the effort to write in my paper journal again I've been keeping one since 1984, fairly regularly until the last few years when my writing-with-a-pen activity just dropped off. Sometimes I'd go nearly a month without writing. I know that's not unusual but for me, it is/was. Every so often I'd try to get back into it again but I could never seem to manage to reestablish the habit.

I can't really blame it on my having been writing more in online blogs and journals, either, because my LJ activity level has also dropped off a great deal in the last several years.

But I'm trying. Got a decent-quality book and a cupful of colored pens.
