My whine for the day is that the earpiece is coming off of my glasses. It's not exactly broken, but there's this little metal rod that slides into a hold and generally stays there, and now it keeps sliding out. I can still wear them but I have to poke the thing back in every so often. Presumably this will require taping, although I'll have Dan look at it when he gets home to see if he can come up with a better fix. Till then I'll just be careful. I do need new glasses, but I'm not getting them until next year.

They sell little kits for eyeglass repair that often have little replacement screws. It sounds like yours lost the head of the screw off it, maybe? I can't remember the last time I bought one, unfortunately, but I think it was just at your basic drugstore.

Unfortunately it looks like all the screws are intact (my last pair of glasses, I used to have to retighten the screws every so often--can you tell I hang on to my glasses as long as possible?--so I'm somewhat familiar with the screw thing). I'm going to have Dan take a look at it later because I have no idea what the deal is here, might be a drop of glue would help, but I suspect I'm going to be taping it. Could be worse--could be a nosepiece! :)
