How many days of Christmas now?

The tree is still up. The nine-year-old still comes down every morning and turns the lights on--I'm thinking that I'll let it stay until she stops doing that. Unless it's, like, getting near March or something. :)

When I was growing up, we sometimes kept our tree until Easter (if Easter wasn't terribly late), although not fully decorated of course. We had an unheated glassed patio, so the tree stayed fresh and nice all that time.

Isn't there some kind of old wives tale that if you don't take down the decorations by Feb 1st you invite trolls into your home?

Or I could just be mis-remembering.

Anywho, our decorations came down last week but usually they stay up longer.
