I made another pumpkin cheesecake today, for Dan to take to a heathen gathering this weekend. We'll miss him, but I figure I'll let the girls eat pizza and watch as much Pink Panther as they like. They sure do love them some slapstick.

Anyone know of any good movies with lots of slapstick (which is the funniest thing in the world to a 5-year-old) but still, well, good movies? They also love the Stooges, if that's any help :).

Damn it, I am just having a hell of a time thinking lately. Thus all these rather dull and well-spaced entries :).

I can't even remember how many of their cheesecake recipes I've used, but they've all been good.

I'm a little late to the party, but what about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins? My husband and I are both amazed now that we're older at what a great physical actor Dick van Dyke was. There isn't a lot of Stooge-like slapstick, but there's a lot of physical humor. And what about silent films: Keystone Kops, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton? Or the Marx Brothers?

My kids (4 and 6) really like The Princess Bride, as do their parents.:-)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang--I haven't thought about that one in years! And I'd love to find the Marx Brothers, but that's mainly because I love them :).

The only problem with it/one really good thing about it is that it's long. Mine like to ask for it after supper, when the answer is most assuredly "no." Those days when you have to get the laundry done, and the bills paid, and do five other things, and the kids just aren't interested in coloring or playing with blocks or anything else, it's a boon.
