I have determined that doing tarot readings when you're in a bad mood is a bad thing. All you get is a reflection of exactly what you've been fretting about.

On the other hand, my deck really rocks--I've never had one that gave such consistently tight readings :).

Edit: By request, the deck I use is the Illuminated Tarot. I was eyeing it for years before finally buying it--it's a bit more than I'd usually pay for a deck, but of course it's not mass-produced--but I've been thrilled with it, the pics don't do it justice.

oooh, that's pretty. i have a few tarot decks: i bought the enchanted tarot (http://www.theenchantedworld.com/tarot/) (which has really interesting images, all done via quilting and fabric collage) and the aquarian tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/aquarian/) (which i think is just really beautiful), and someone gave me the decameron tarot (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/decameron/cards.shtml) (which is sort of fun to look at for the naughtiness factor, but otherwise i don't really like it.) all in all, though, i've never gotten very adept at reading with them. i think the complexity of the tarot deck just doesn't resonate with me very well. i also have the druid animal oracle (http://www.druidry.org/obod/eisteddfod/offerings/dao_sonnets.html), and i like it very much; it's the one deck i feel (almost) comfortable using.

Like the other two -- I wanna know!

(I use Robin Wood mostly, sometimes the Universal Waite).

See link above :).

I used the Robin Wood for a number of years, and the Universal Waite is the one I use currently if I'm reading for someone else.

That happens to me alot. That's why I hate doing readings for myself most often. Its very hard to do.

I'm usually able to get decent clarification when I read for myself, but when I'm in a foul mood, or kindasorta depressed, it's like an echo chamber--no clarification, just repetition.
