I like the food ones where they're trying to sell you knives, or a rotesserie, or the one that makes smoothies and chops things. I stay away from pretty much all the others. The food ones are just really funny in my opinion.
I always find myself wondering whether the items would really work (like that one they've got now for cooking pasta by pouring boiling water into a plastic tube). I suppose that means I'd be in danger of buying this stuff if I saw it in a store instead of on TV. :)
I just always laugh at the price (with a 5 time payment of only 38.97!). Oh, and the cleaning ones are good sometimes. That's how Oxyclean actually got started. And the orange stuff. They were infomercials first. I'm never in danger, though my parents have bought one or two because they were really interested in it.
It depends on the reason for the blues. If there is no specific event that caused it (and, sometimes, even if there is) I have a few art projects that are simple that I can just get lost in (such as making bead necklaces), or I talk to my husband or IM with my best friend (chronarchy). A favourite movie or book can also help. But my sure fire way is to do something nice for someone else.

Heh, you're a better person than I :)!
I tend to not talk to people when there's something real that's bothering me (my do-it-yourself tendencies, I suppose), probably not the best thing but at least it makes me think (and think, and think... :P)
Movies are also good--after elder daughter was born, I spent the first week or so in bed (never had full-blown PPD but what I did have wasn't fun), people brought me food or I wouldn't have done anything but sleep and feed the baby. When I felt up to moving at all I went downstairs and watched ancient movies on TV. Eventually it helped.
Depends on the situation - calling a friend, going for a walk, going to the movies, going to the pub with friends, taking a long soak in something warm, bubbly and scented, reading (in bath or out), listening to music, cooking, etc.
