Except that they were supposed to be for German potato salad, and it's easier to make if the slices hold together better than that :).

Better over- than under-, in the case of spuds. They aren't good for you undercooked.

Really?--even if they're not green? I know they're kind of icky when raw but didn't know they were dangerous.
