So I have no idea when this happened, but I've just discovered that at some point Yahoogroups changed every single group I belong to to delivering email in html. I've got an old computer. I've got an old email client. A lot of email sent in html is pretty much invisible.

::returns to changing it back by hand, one at a time!::

EDIT: Okay, so apparently you can set this for all your groups at once. Fine. Still doesn't forgive them changing it on me. And of course I didn't discover this until after I was half done changing them one by one... :P

Ouch. They have been tweaking their delivery of group e-mails in a number of ways, but I've gone through a change of computers, operating systems, and e-mail clients and browsers in the meantime, so . . .

Glad you spotted it now. Be sure to also check your Yahoo spam folder--e-group postings sometimes go there for no reason. And if your ISP has a web-accessible spam folder, you will probably find several e-group postings are going there (seems to be based on title and/or poster's address, gah).

Ah, all this "help" that mucks one up ...

Well, I was hoping that changing it would be more helpful, but there are still a lot of posts on some groups (including heathenthing, unfortunately) that I can't read without viewing the message source--just some people's posts don't come through, and often posts responding to their posts.. An issue of my old, old email client (on my old, old OS! :)), I'm sure.
