I did, however, teach myself to weave beads on a loom today, which is kind of cool.

a bit of help
Date: 2004-04-01 05:32 pm (UTC)my name is Adam and I've sort of drifted into your journal from Jen's (xxxaltheaxxx). I was wondering,
since you seem to be very adept at sewing and clothing
construction where would you send a beginner to start.
I've found me career calling in life and haven't sewn
since my mother had me do it by hand so long ago...
thanks,
adam
p.s...don't feel too bad about not getting anything done...I've been at work here for like 3 1/2 hours and
I'll I've managed to do it browse the net.. ;)
Re: a bit of help
Date: 2004-04-02 02:26 am (UTC)But I'm actually only semi-adept when it comes to sewing garments--I'm all right as long as I have a pattern, and I can tweak the patterns a bit, but I've known folks who make their own patterns, or at least are able to make substantial adaptations to commercial patterns. Very impressive.
What sort of career are you planning?
