Just a quick meta kind of note saying that I'm still having some trouble grasping this whole LJ thing, and may have realized why that is. I think it may be the word "journal" that throws me; I expect I define it as a medium with a different sort of audience (anywhere from delayed to none) than exists here. It's cool, though--and I think it's somehow good for me :).

For me, the oddest thing about LJ is that I really don't know who's reading my journal. It's kinda freaky, leaves me vulnerable. But it's ok. :)

Yeah, I see what you mean there (although I tend to assume that no one who hasn't "friended" me is reading mine or even aware of it--that's either modesty or self-delusion speaking there, I suppose :)).

As it happens, though, you and I have actually met, once, briefly, at a Pagan Roundtable (I'm guessing you don't remember, my husband and I were visiting downstate for a week and just showed up at one :)).

Oh, I think I do remember the incident, although I don't know if I'd remember your face. Something about people mentioning where they were from, and a couple from the UP, and someone (me probably) making a joke about that being a long way to drive for a meeting.

It may have been someone else, though. :)

Yep, that was us.

We didn't make it this year because our vacation plans took us elsewhere :(.
