Hail to Odin, sharp-eyed holder of knowledge dear,
wisdom won and wisdom taken. Keen and cunning,
subtle of shade, grey of manner, grey of nature,
far-ranging your interest, far-reaching your hand.
Allfather, seeker of priceless understanding,
knowing one, risking much, seeing always the goal.
careful maker of deals, always skirting each edge,
master with whom warrior and poet rashly trade,
victory for soul, a bargain perhaps. Odin,
shrewd one, contriver of intricacies, worker
of fragile humanity, builder of world's end,
guided by vision, driven by need. Hail to Odin!
