Winter camping, winter blotting
Jan. 14th, 2008 01:12 amDan has decided to have winter camping again this year, after missing last year because of an uncertain schedule. Hopefully the weather will be neither too cold or (worse) too warm for it. He doesn't anticipate many people coming. Which is fine. I don't anticipate feeling too sociable, but that's okay, I'll be staying in the house while they're all out in the snow. :)
I's also going to be a week after our February blot. We don't always have a February blot--the most common one is Disablot, and we address the ancestors in October and the Disir privately, so that's not something we want to do--but we sometimes have one, although we don't have a set theme for it. We're trying something a little different this year, something
c_hix calls a "BYOG" blot, meant mainly to give folks a chance to pay particular honor to any favorite deities. I'm looking forward to it.
