Semipolitical thought for the day

hearthstoneWhy is it that the points in time when I feel like writing so often don't correspond to those points when I have something to say?
I don't talk politics much. Not going to now, really. But I think I might tend toward being a libertarian if I had more faith in human nature. But I don't. So I tend toward being a liberal.
What I actually am is someone who thinks that we should pretty much be left to do whatever we want (as long as it hurts no one else), and also thinks that being strong shouldn't give someone power over someone who is not as strong. And the aforementioned lack of faith in human nature? That comes in because some people (and other entities) are bullies, and that aspect of human nature can't be ignored, and it can't be let to do whatever it wants past the "hurts no one else" point.
And that's about as complicated as I care to get on the subject.
