I'm still doing all right with the dream journal, at least as far as managing to remember something and write it down most mornings.

However, I decided to look back over some past dreams last night--which I've done before--the same thing always happens and I'm always surprised. Because while some I remember having had, others are totally unfamiliar to me. Not only do I not remember having the dreams, I don't even remember writing them down (and usually writing something down by hand sets it into memory). Not just "I don't remember it quite like that" but "I don't remember that at all!"

Anyone else have this experience? It's just so weird!

It snowed today, even stayed on the ground for quite a while, but it's gone now and it wasn't the first Big Snow. (the first Big Snow can disappear but it's a more important snow somehow, not this "thinking about it" sort of thing). It does remind me that I must go out into the woods soon and find myself a likely branch for cutting runes. If I go alone I can find one I like without distraction; if I take Dan he can tell me what kind of tree it's from, which is a consideration. We'll see.

And tomorrow it's October, which means I need to start thinking about Winternights. Particularly I need to start working on a piece honoring Hel, which may be a challenge.
