I'm still doing all right with the dream journal, at least as far as managing to remember something and write it down most mornings.

However, I decided to look back over some past dreams last night--which I've done before--the same thing always happens and I'm always surprised. Because while some I remember having had, others are totally unfamiliar to me. Not only do I not remember having the dreams, I don't even remember writing them down (and usually writing something down by hand sets it into memory). Not just "I don't remember it quite like that" but "I don't remember that at all!"

Anyone else have this experience? It's just so weird!

Sometimes that happens with dreams from years ago. The more recent dreams I tend to remember when I read them.

That I'd expect--these are dreams from last week that are totally unfarmiliar to me now!

Heh. Kinda thought so :). I really do forget dreams quickly--if I don't write them down soon after waking, they're often gone for good (other ones hang on, of course)--but I'm also forgetting what I wrote. That part, to me, is really strange.
