Happy mail day!

A box of fireplace matches. A box of boxes, actually. Now I can do my devotions without burning my fingertips--without having to keep an eye on the match, how close is the flame, can I get another candle lit before it burns me.. I can even add more candles now if I like. Yay!
(Sometimes I am so easy to make happy that it's almost pathetic, LOL!)

I've only got the nine on my altar right now, but that's just pushing it for the matches I use. I've got a couple of first degree burns trying to push it.
*grins* I'd probably save my fingers using fireplace matches, but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun :)

Date: 2004-02-23 08:07 pm (UTC)I have never managed to do all the candles on my large Hellenic altar with one match; I've managed to do it on Aphrodite's altar a few times, though. They each have seven candles including one big pillar on each with a sort of "well" in the center (that's the trouble candle, takes a while to light a wick in a hole!). The in-progress Norse altar will have two candles, I think; that's the current plan, at least, so I can probably use standard matches there safely :).
