LJ and DW and me
Sep. 12th, 2010 04:06 pmWell, it seems to have worked--I updated my Dreamwidth account with my old Livejournal entries. I haven't checked it out in detail but my archive goes back to 2003 in both places now.
From here on in I'm almost certain to just post the same thing to both places and read both sets of friends lists (or "reading pages" as DW calls it), so I figure I'll see the same thing twice a lot, which is fine. :) I also have no real preference as to where folks post their comments, whichever works best for you is fine.
I really don't want to leave Livejournal. I like it. It's comfortable. I have history there. I'm settled in there. But I don't want to lose touch with the folks who are leaving, which is why I started my Dreamwidth account. I'm certainly still open to adding folks on LJ.
I also like Dreamwidth. It's definitely got a different feeling to it, but that's cool. I am of course also open to adding folks on DW. :)
So in case you didn't know, yes I have a Dreamwidth. It's at:
