I'm currently working on a prayer to Forseti, because one of the things I want to do this year is get to know/become more familiar with some of the gods I just haven't had as much to do with so far as I have had with others. (Not involved in law, and don't tend to have a lot of disagreements.) Forseti is included in my daily devotions, but I've never blotted him, and never written for him. It's not as hard as I expected, but...

the internet is my fact-checker, when I'm on a roll and don't want to get up, go in the other room, get a reference, bring it back, look it up, and by the time I've done all that I've probably lost the flow. I have concluded that there just isn't much online about him. (And I do miss the online Our Troth, which was really handy for just these situations. :))

Yeah, my ex-partner, who is Asatru, has a pretty extensive listing of gods on his site, but I went to check and all it says about Forseti is:
"Son of Baldur and Nanna, he dwells in the mansion Glitner, and he settles all quarrels. No one, god or man, knows better judgements than his."

Yeah, it's not much. And I know there's probably not a lot more in the Eddas, and Forseti doesn't seem to be a major god in modern heathenry so perhaps there just hasn't been a lot of UPG generated on him. Just surprising, given the pages and pages of material you can find on some of the other gods.

There isn't much. But he has that connection to Friesland; did you also search under the "Fosite" version of his name? I remembered that Rich Culver, who has him as patron, wrote an article on him a while back, and googled for it: http://www.holyspring.org/Stiller.htm . Hope that helps a bit.

Oooh, thank you! Excellent information. (Although the web page is painful to read, weird grey stripes across it, or is that just my browser?)

No, I'm afraid it's the background :-( Try googling Fosite some more, or googling a short quote from the article, but I think the only other places that is online are e-group archives you can't access.
